
Earth Day is on April 22nd, but Columbia Town Center is hosting events throughout the season to celebrate our beautiful planet.
While we should strive for a greener future every day, Earth Day is a wonderful time to inspire everyone to become more environmentally friendly. Around the world, friends and neighbors participate in demonstrations and events to protect our Earth while promoting a stronger and more thoughtful society. Earth Day is on April 22nd, but Columbia Town Center is hosting events throughout the season to celebrate our beautiful planet.
Earth Day Celebration in Color Burst Park
Earth Day Celebration at Color Burst Park in Downtown Columbia will feature free eco-friendly activities for the family on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. DIY workshops to create succulent terrariums, peat pot decorating, and seed planting will be offered. Attendees are invited to bring a pair of jeans from home to transform into an upcycled jean journal. Scheduled activities include a 45-minute yoga class hosted by Yoga Six from 10:15-11 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to register and set up their yoga mat or blanket.
Free giveaways include deciduous tree seedlings for the first 100 families to arrive at the event. The trees are provided by the Arbor Day Foundation courtesy of Howard Hughes. Butterfly wing capes and antennae will be available for the first 100 children on-site.

Wilde Lake Earth Day Festival
Celebrate Earth Day on April 26th from 10 am to 3 pm with your community at the Wilde Lake Community Association Earth Day Festival, featuring live music, local merchants, and fun eco-friendly activities for all ages. Bring a plant, and take a plant with the Annual Plant Exchange hosted by Wilde Lake CARES to raise awareness of the importance of preserving our Earth. Join the whole family in crafts and activities!
Town Center Tree & Plant Giveaway
own Center will be offering free plants & trees on April 26th from 10 AM-2 PM. Get ready to take home some beautiful trees and plants to spruce up your garden or yard. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to add some greenery to your life!
